Greetings from Boston,
GA, those are lovely illustrations from Alice Pattullo’s calendar. The flowers are beautiful, but I particularly enjoyed the asparagus stalks in May and the Brussels sprouts in December. That vegetable is not so popular on this side of the pond for a Christmas dinner.
Years ago I had a dear friend, an English “war bride” some years my senior. She always served the sprouts with roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Happy memories…
