This is a great service you do.
As an aside, the photo’s of the shops are great, the chewing gum machines outside always bring melancholic nostalgic feelings to the surface. Remembering the gum/ choc/ fag machines in my village in the early 1970s always vandalized and so easy to break into, not by me you understand!
Gone and never replaced, just like your glorious shops of yesteryear. Sigh…

The Umbrella Manufacturers , now Japonika, is just around the corner from yesterday’s entry (Happy Days At The Golden Heart).
I agree about the colours in these photos being particularly beautiful and satisfying. As to my chances of getting to the open shops of today on your list, alas I’ve not much more hope of doing that than visiting the ones of the past, so will content myself with that.
