Hi, I wandered if this was St Dunstan’s which was a charity that Sir Arthur Pearson initiated for military service men that were blinded during WW1. My husbands grandfather was there for rehabilitation as he was blind and was taught how to make mats and basket weaving.
The charity continues its good work has now been renamed the Blind Veterans.
