will the book have everything in it that has been on here?

  3. February 26, 2012

I dearly wish I could be there, as a long time fan (and an especial lover of Mr. Pussy), but am stuck here in Santa Monica, California. I am poised, indeed impatient, to buy your book, however, and shall do so at the first moment it is offered!

Ah, there, never mind. Ordered it from Book Depository. It will be lovely to read you NOT on a computer for a change!

Cannot attend but would dearly love to. You will no doubt look resplendent (quite the boulevardier) and everybody will have a deliciously convivial time. Hope you make a ton of sales and enjoy the plaudits.
Hug for Mr Pussy, if you please

I’ve just watched the related video on Amazon.. It was great to see your subjects in the flesh looking at and commenting on your book… You could see how proud and amazed those individuals were to have been included in this tome. Maybe this could be the next step? A few videos of your interviews with just the participants talking, if you wanted to remain enigmatic. Just a thought. ‘Spitalfields Life’ the movie! Now who would we get to play you?

Those of us dear readers parted from the East End by vast seas warmly wish everyone an evening of convivial mirth and epic Homeric celebration. Rest assured that we are there with all of you in spirit. Eat, quaff, and be merry, gentle author, in your new trousers. I raise my pint in fellowship here in Virginia. Congrats and here’s to the success of your book! Bottoms up!

Congratulations and thank you for the invitation! It’s great that you turned all this work and love of Spitalfields and its people into a book. I will certainly buy one. Not sure I can come to the book launch though, as I’ll be at another launch in Shoreditch that night. Hope there is still something left to write about…. πŸ˜‰

I gave up reading blogs, that I found were solipsistic and tedious. This blog overturned all that. Glad to have found it, but unfortunately live all the way downunder, so am looking forward to the book.
Congratulations and all the best on the night.

The best way to describe an area is done by the Gentle Author. Good Luck with the book, how much is it?

I plan to be there with the boards and frolicks! X

What a wonderful achievement. You have set a unique standard. I have just completed a book of street photography and thought it was a good job until I encountered your book. Your hard work and integrity is incredible in a world of commercial sound bites. Grass roots wins through every time. Your approach inspires me to continue on my journey.

  44. March 1, 2012

I’m hoping to pop along. I love your blog, I love the look of the book and I’m bound to love what it has inside too.

  45. March 1, 2012

Splendid. Love the blog and really looking forward to coming to the launch tomorrow.

  46. March 2, 2012

I will toast you here in Brooklyn. Congratulations on the publication of your wonderful book.
I wish I could be there in more than spirit.

  47. March 2, 2012

Today is the day. I hope the new trousers don’t get stage fright and the cakes are the only ‘eccling you get (forgive me). Wish you’d done it a month ago and I could have been there and not in Sydney. All power to your writing elbow Gentle Author and may you never run out of things to write about.
