Nicholas Borden’s Spring Paintings

May 6, 2015
by the gentle author

Thanks to this year’s mild spring weather, these are the pictures that Nicholas Borden has painted on the street since the batch I published in January. Hardy and industrious in equal degree, Nicholas has wrought a fresh vision of the urban landscape that is painterly, atmospheric and entirely personal.

~ All these canvases were done this year !!
~ What an amazingly prolific painter!! ~

I especially love “Off the Strand.”
I feel like I could just step right into that image and continue down the street.

It does seem that you have a large population of artists nearby ~ So wonderful~
Maybe, someday in the future, I will find my way there and be one of them.

Love all your posts, particularly the reminiscent ones. And of course, Huguenot, given my name. Tweeting about Nicholas’ distinctive style in these paintings.
