    The date appears to be wrong. The last horse tram ran in 1915.
    The photo is before the trams were electric C 1910.

    This photo is much earlier, around 1895 I’d say – I can see the Passmore Edwards Library in the distance, which opened in 1892, so after 1892 but before 1896 when nos.80a–82 were demolished to make way for the Whitechapel Gallery.
