    Ah, that doggie!? Look how he keeps the old gal youthful, spry, and hopping. They are the best of friends, these two. Anyone with a beloved pet will “get it” about this tale/tail — no wonder it has
    endured all these years, accompanied by these lovely illustrations.

    Nice to hear all the verses. (I bought my bungalow from a Mr Hubbard – he built it for his mother – Old Ma Hubbard – her name was May actually).
