Twelve Cries of London Done from the Life-Paul Sandby-1760-Frontispiece to the Twelve Cries of London. Sandby depicts a street scene; in the foreground a female street trader, in shabby clothes, stares out at the viewer. In the background a man carries several boxes each inscribed with the titles each London Cry.
