As it is Sunday, shall we jump on the Central Line at Liverpool St Station and travel back half a century to Marble Arch and join photographer Moyra Peralta at Speakers’ Corner?

Speakers’ Corner is part of my childhood. Is it still going strong?

Great pictures, very evocative, feels like a film.
I proposed to my husband on a borrowed box at Speakers Corner.
Great pictures but the one with the sailors has been reversed. Their badges appear to be on the wrong sleeves.

Very much part of my childhood memories too – I had an aunt who spoke their regularly for the Catholic Evidence Guild, scanned the pictures but I didn’t see her!
Me too on Sundays during childhood sometimes with my father.I particularly remember the times during the turbulence in Iran when the Shah was overthrown. To think it was being passionately thrashed out in a park in London. I had often wondered whether it was still going. Now I know!
Excellent photographs! Really enjoyed these. I also remember going to Speakers Corner with my mother when I was young. Great experience.
