The English are frosty
When you’re no kith or kin
Of theirs, but how they alter
When once they take you in!
The kindest, the truest,
The best friends ever known,
It’s hard to remember
How they froze you to a bone.
They showed me all London,
Johnnie and his friends;
They took me to the country
For long week-ends;
I never was so happy,
I never had such fun,
I stayed many weeks in England
Instead of just one.
This is my England as I have come to love it and will love it forever!

Lucky are those who will accompany you this weekend!
Perhaps, one day, there will be a filmed version of your tour so those of us on other continents can walk with you.
These daily blog jaunts are always informative and fun. Imagine a film!
I love the idea of the tour. I’ve just finished reading a Christopher Fowler Bryant and May novel so it chimes so well with the running story of Arthur Bryant’s walking tours. And I mean this in a good way as I’d sign up for one of Bryant’s tours in a flash. Good luck with this one.
Such a panoply of East Enders, each with an intriguing story to tell us!
I wish I could join your walks – but illness and distance prevent this at the moment. Please have a wonderful time, all of you lucky people. Especially as you’ll be with TGA! I hope the weather is kind. Penni Joy, Mid Wales
