   I use to live in the house next to the pub behind the lady’s my gran was called Goddard. And me and my sister use to play in the park. Over the road.

   This was a lovely pub when I knew it in the early Eighties, friendly landlord and a centre or all the local characters, good beer and a great atmosphere. It’s a travesty what happened to it. It looked like a BNP outpost at the end. Still they can’t take away all the happy memories I have of that place.
