    Fascinating to see this! I’m a Vaux and spotted this in the church when I lived in the area (Old Montague Street). I’d love to know more of the history of Joseph and Mary.

    My late husband was descended from Joseph’s sister Mary who married a Merrick. I keep trying to discover where the Vauxs came from and how the name evolved to that of my husband’s Mother Brievaux.
