Were Peter Jones in Oxford Street? I rather think this is Peter Robinson, who were still quite a big store into the Sixties….
I agree. Peter Jones were always at Sloane Square, although they didn’t acquire the whole of their current site until the 1060s.
That should have been the 1960s.
Zooming in on the photograph shows the name of the shop as Peter Robinson.
