My late father Chazan Pinchas Faigenblum was the Chazan at Nelson Street shul during the war. The Rav was Rabbi Spetman aka ‘ Der Roite Rebbe’ due to his support for the Russians.
I remember hiding under my father’s Tallis when he was on the Nima.
