It’s wonderful how many of your blogs bring an instant memory to my beleaguered mind! This time it’s the clear skies: myself and my wife are fortunate to have a house in the south of France, a bolthole we head off to as often as possible - on our way back on this day in my history, we took the possibly unwise decision of going through Paris, passing by Charles de Gaulle airport. My wife noticed it first, very quiet on the motorway and no planes! We had no idea why at that stage but found out soon after.

Incidentally, you seem to have had problems with your website GA - or if you haven’t, I have! I haven’t been able to access your musings for a few days now. I’m pleased to be back…

Thank you for this view of that marvelous Columbia Road Market, and of the sky over London today. Of course we had a vastly different sky over New York suddenly in September 2001. For a short few days our sky was quiet, although our downtown view was pretty horific.

And then the planes returned, with lots of helicopters, and various flight path changes were tested. The sky became crowded again.

Best wishes.
