Where I live now in Hertfordshire nobody does that now and going in someone’s house is as rare as diamonds on black velvet .

If you gave me ten million pounds I would rather travel back to that time of helping the old people as a child .
The authoress makes point of fact that people would do without in order to help others .
What has destroyed it ?
Is it the internet ? is it people are too busy so both partners work ? Or have people wandered more into the land of selfishness ?
