This reminds me of childhood holidays to the seaside, my dad used to always take me to a Punch and Judy show. Sadly dad left us 20 years ago at the age of 88 and I’m turning 65 next week!

At the International Museum of Folk Art in Santa Fe, there is a vitrine holding four vintage
Punch & Judy puppets. For whatever reason, I can't view these without weeping. They touch my heart, tug at my funny bone, and seem to be so pleased to end up together in a beautiful nurturing museum full of toys and regalia. To me, they are one of the highlights of that exalted collection; and THAT'S saying a lot.

(......the gentleman who has collected --- did you say? -- hundreds of the puppets? -- My top hat
is off to him. Lovely.)
