It's always so interesting learning about different cultures from one's own - and especially sampling 'unfamiliar' food. It all looks delicious! I recall neighbours of ours treating me to a meal out at the first Chinese restaurant that opened in Surrey in the very early 1960s where we lived at the time, as a thank you for babysitting their daughter, but apart from being puzzled by all the different dishes, I had to have it explained that they were for us all to share, and that we could have a little bit from each one on our plate. Also good that all these women here have had the opportunity to mix in public - and earn money - although I respect that some cultures are the very opposite of what my own has been.
