My sister, Florrie, married a Royal Navy seaman, who lived close to the pub and was on a landing craft that took troops to Normandy on D-Day. His name was Sid Wenborne (his twin brother Charlie was on another landing craft on that eventful day.) I&#039;d have liked to attach an image of Sid but the site doesn&#039;t allow images!)]]></description>
