We eat them all year round! Either baked or, my personal favorite, sautéed (microwave first for a short time to soften) in olive oil and butter with a good dashing of salt and pepper.

I really enjoyed this article! And we adore Brussels sprouts, something that a large portion of the Western world doesn’t seem to comprehend. (By the way, I was taught to make that little cross in the bottom of the sprout, too, but these days I prefer to roast them in the oven.)

Interesting!
I hated sprouts as a child, still had to eat them up though as we children did back in the day.
Now I’m older I really love them, mmm..such a tasty vegetable.

That much maligned vegetable the Brussels sprout. It’s odd how, though people go on about how horrible they are they still seem to be scarfed up by an awful lot of folk. I’m love the buggers and am proud to admit it.

This article cheered me up. We are great fans of the humble sprout in this house.
And we refrain from the cross at the bottom (although my mother was also a sprout mutilator). So many delicious ways to cook them, plus they are so good for you.
