My mother in law loved wet walnuts, maybe something yo do with her mother who came from Norfolk.
Her mother was a cook in a grand house in London. Family story it Buckingham Palace , most unlikely.
One late November night she woke with colicy pains blaming too.many wet walnuts.
My husband arrived very shortly afterwards, just after the midwife.
My father in law lived to 102 and swore by walnuts. Watercress and walking!
