					<description><![CDATA[I think it is a common feeling when we are small and vulnerable to feel the threat of the dark and the unknown. And even as we grow into teen-agers we are both repelled and attracted to the supernatural. I can remember vividly feeling so paralysed with fear as a child during a lightning storm that it just evaporated because, I suppose it passed it&#039;s peak and I realised I was still alive and in fact nothing was going to happen to me!
There&#039;s a sort of cosy feeling in being a bit scared and then the reassurance that we are not actually in danger. Perhaps it&#039;s the feeling of relief as it washes over us that is a bit addictive in it&#039;s way. 
Beautiful carvings at the end of the church pews. Love them.]]></description>
