In fact he gave our parents two limited signed prints. John Allin was one of the nicest down to earth people you could ever meet. He really was a great artist and so sad he passed away so young.

And wonderful that they’ve survived. Such a shame there were judgmental people around, especially the press, who tried to belittle this man, even if he had made mistakes.

I see you mention Noel Gibson in your list .

I went to see him a few times and he offered me a place to live when I was a teenager .
He was caretaker at the Troxy .

I needed a place to write but my trust had gone by then of adults so I never took it up .
