I've occasionally heard the expression --- "A man of parts". (surely that phrase was
written for Morris) I've read about him over the years, and it seems his interests were boundless; and I confess that I have read mostly about his bottomless art-related explorations. Thank you, GA for illuminating his other/wider concerns and dedicated beliefs.

Although his passing is attributed (in this post) to TB -- I have often read that William Morris
succumbed due to "being William Morris"; a reference to his all-encompassing creative verve and tireless curiosity. A man of accomplishments, both known and hidden.

A wonderful way to begin a day in the studio.

All I can say is what William Morris protested about was true and is true to my childhood .
Namely Police unfairness and the difficult life East End people had .
Darwin might have termed it “The struggle for existence .”
