Love this story! Mummy was with an ENSA group when a bomb fell down the road as she ran out of the house to go to the Anderson shelter. The shock wave knocked her down the steps into the grass. She got a gash in her shoulder from flying glass and had to pin a corsage over the strap of her evening dresses to hide the scar. Over 80 years ago now. Memories!
