Dear Gentle Author and Betty ,
Thank you for the wonderful story .

Betty I remember you well and I have so many memories of you .
The big clue to the story came when you mentioned your dear Danny dying aged 39 .

I was just a bit of a kid but I remember he was a carpet fitter .

I remember you so well coming to my home . Talking with my Mum Rose .
Washing together Rosie Bocher down . I did a drawing about it and a poem .
Helping together clean Dora’s house up after she died . Dora with so many cats .

Do you remember Danny from Trinidad ?
He told me some years back how you called in the children playing in the street and told them to wash their hands and then you gave them a drink and some food and you told them to watch the television for they will never forget this . It was the landing of a spaceship on the moon and Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin stepping out onto it .

I hope you can contact me . The Gentle Author has my details .
Carry on the poetry! Love to Stephen and Irene and you . Andy xx

He lived opposite me at number 17 Milward street?
