Thank you dear GA for your tireless work in helping to preserve historic buildings in the East End. I think historic Spitalfields demonstrates how beautiful eighteenth and nineteenth century buildings amply demonstrate how they are fit for the twenty first century if they are shown some love and care.
There is nothing more depressing than a historic area of London filled with faceless, characterless, new buildings, while it’s rich history has been carelessly erased. We know better now and could preserve these buildings and yet also repurpose them for modern life.
My objection will be but one drop but, with many others, will become a flood that the council cannot ignore!
