I had looked into Pearl Binder a few years ago when working on a talk about illustrating Jane Austen’s Persuasion – her pencil drawings of Austen’s world very different, as you would expect, from these of the East End! The book was published by Gerald Howe in 1928. I happily own a copy signed by her to “Jack’s Mother” August 1929 – I can send you a few images if you haven’t seen these.
