I had looked into Pearl Binder a few years ago when working on a talk about illustrating Jane Austen&#039;s Persuasion - her pencil drawings of Austen&#039;s world very different, as you would expect, from these of the East End! The book was published by Gerald Howe in 1928. I happily own a copy signed by her to &quot;Jack&#039;s Mother&quot; August 1929 - I can send you a few images if you haven&#039;t seen these.
