					<description><![CDATA[Unfortunately, I think some of my forebears kept the watchman if Bethnal Green rather more busy! William does look a stern fellow, as he would have needed to be. I find Victorian photographs fascinating as they provide us with so much information about a real person, rather than an anonymised one in an illustration. We can look into their eyes and almost know them. Thank you GA for another interesting post.]]></description>
