I loved this post. In these surreal times, it's hard to recall how innocent we once were before the pandemic and societal split here in the US. Here's something simple -- creative approaches to baking, an ongoing theater tradition, and lots of good cheer. Creativity, performance arts, and happiness.

Thank you.

What an incredible story! It is a profession that holds on to tradition and superstition less a break brings bad luck but to enjoy a delicious cake and drink together seems like an all-round good idea. What other profession wishes colleagues that they might break their leg?
I'm currently researching my great great uncle who was a comic vocalist and instrumentalist. He went on to become vice chair of the Music Hall Benevolent Fund and was also one of the founders. Sadly, getting money out of performers to support those who couldn't work seemed to be a neverending struggle although the annual Music Hall Sports seemed a popular event.
Thank you GA and Sarah for another fascinating post.
