A bread cake is the local term for a bread roll. The lack of a comma caused my confusion.
Mouldy bread and stale biscuits does not whet the appetite but I am quite partial to a fresh Eccles cake!

I really enjoyed seeing the mail-able biscuit. Although I have gotten some pretty unusual things in the mail, nothing ( potentially ) edible ever showed up. And as a mixed media artist, I am super curious to know what kind of writing implement was used to inscribe the, ahem, biscuit.
Inquiring minds want to know.

A family holiday tradition began many years ago, when the inedible sticky buns made by a cousin were considered “too awful to eat”, so everyone took turns boxing them up and mailing them around.
Over many years those buns circled the United States, finally becoming a decayed mess. The inedible finally became the unrecognizable. Fun tradition!

Thank you GA for shining a light. I’m heading down to the kitchen right now for my morning coffee and a muffin. (the closest I can come to a biscuit……)
