Since the artist herself enjoyed mentioning her design influences, I will pile on and say how much this work reminds me of Alice and Martin Provenson. An American couple who co-authored/illustrated dozens of children’s book with a style that was so sophisticated and color-drenched (like Ms. Elliot!) it must have influenced many young people to appreciate fine design.
