WOW.....Absolutely fantastic photographs and a trip down memory lane for me.
In 1984 I was in my 20's and a young architect working for Levitt Bernstein Architects in Camden Town. I was to assist senior architect, John Yeudall, on a new job to document, photograph and begin the process of renovating the Fieldgate Mansion flats in Romford St.
I was on that project for nearly 2 years and I forget the name of the Housing Trust involved but I struck up a good friendship with one of their team, Ann McDonald, who was also Scottish.
Maybe it was The Peabody Trust? We would visit the site once a week and made many friends in the Bengali Community and my own small personal contribution was to design the front entrance gates with some new fangled electronic locking system. Given that it is now 40 years on, I would be beyond words if anyone remembered us and if Ann McDonald is out there somewhere.....you know where to find me......Thanks David Hoffman and one and all.
