I was about to jump for joy when I saw the title of today’s blog; then I realised that you did not mean the Mill Hill Rideway – shame.
Though I live near Cape Town I have strong ties with the Spitalfields locale. My mother was from Stepney and we have a n Hugenote relative from the 1700’s.
Keep up the stirling work.

I so enjoyed scouring the photos for textures and discreet details. The warm-toned layered shingles, lavish moss, crumbling gravel underfoot, fingertip shafts of grain,
towering mysterious stones, a tumble of logs, endless shades of green, the rough path way and enclosed thicket —- and then phrases that add to the swatch board: “flinty path”, “walking through the sky”, “his nailed bark in the creeks of the rivers”.
