I hope she found happiness and a better life with her children, but in their photo they look to have been thriving which is good.

I found the part about them having to leave the hostel for the day and mum showing them the sights to keep them occupied very poignant. A mother in very difficult circumstances trying to do the best by her children. Vicky and her siblings must have loved her very much.
