Anthony Eyton?, well, he stands as a paragon to us all, regardless of whether we are visual artists or not. He is a consumate talent, a gentleman in every sense of the word and one of a 'breed' of artists which cannot be replaced. May you last forever Anthony, we need your ilk to remind us about the essence of art and serve to remind us of the importance of art in this troubled world, thankyou so much.

Delightful post, gentle author. Many thanks.

Looking at Anthony Eyton, at 100 years of age, I feel certain he will be creating these superb paintings of Spitalfield views for years to come.

Incredible timing as I heard a wonderful interview some minutes ago, on ABC radio, re an art exhibition starting in Canberra. They interviewed one of the 465 centenarians who have been painted by teenagers, for this event. Brian, who is 102, and so very proud of his time in the RAAF in World War II, was brimming with energy and life. The young man who had spent time painting him, was touched by Brian's Welcome and so much more.

Peace abounding.......
