Some of these places are included in the walk which is punctuated by stories and commentary. The seat of financial power is here but that doesn’t make it a comfortable place to be. Visiting remnants of Roman London stamps your memory with the realisation of the City’s ancient history and prominence. There is even a link with Spitalfields silk woven into the tale. Beginning with the magnificence of St Paul’s Cathedral, you recognise that you are indeed in the beating heart of London. Look up and around, explore and enjoy!
