I think that the Doctor visiting the bedridden old lady in Gt Eastern Buildings, Quaker Street was possibly Dr Derek H. Mellins.

We lived in a shared ownership flat on Backchurch lane E1 in the early 1990’s. I remember walking around the area and buying some snacks from Mr Dysman, I don’t think his shop lasted much longer, but I remember the lovely tiles on the walls and the fried snacks lined up in on the counter.

I wonder who the lady in the wedding dress was? Her dress and hair are very pretty. Judging by her shoes I’d say this was taken early to mid 70s.

Wonderfully evocative images, each clearly telling a story of life itself (tough as it was), and in many cases great ‘fortitude’. What a wonderful invention photography was! My brother’s a professional photographer, and I’m a keen amateur, so also capture everything whenever I go out.
