I was at his home, a few days before he died
He lived an interesting life
And upto the last day, he was still talking about putting on another charity show,
He always asked me to sing on them
Will miss him so much, and his big heart

Those were certainly ‘the good old days’. My grandfather was Young Johnny Brown, a well known boxer from the 1920s, so my family have been regaled the many stories of East End Jewish life.
