Tonight is All Hollow’s Eve on the Christian calendar. Years ago, I went to a tiny, candle-lit church in a tiny village to hear the priest sing a service-long ritual to mark the holiday. Towards the end of the beautiful, beautiful service, I could hear Halloween revelers outside. Halloween and All Hollow’s Eve — each has its place.
