I was wandering up the road an hour ago on my way to the shops and distracted by the usual worries when i was stopped by an old chap who seemed to materialise from nowhere. “Crossing over are you”? he asked. I nodded numbly and he stepped out into the middle of the road and with much twirling of his stick stopped the traffic.
After i’d crossed and mumbled a ‘thank you’ he said “see you tomorrow” and went about his business.
Further up the road it occurred to me what a lovely experience i’d just had. Go Dee. x
