The value of this site is well exemplified by this sad fact: that I lived my life in London, from birth in 1933 to employment that took me away in 1959, without learning that the bathhouse existed. Thank you, Gentle Author!

Great article and very timely as Billingsgate Roman House & Baths is reopening this weekend.
An opportunity to get close to the protected archaeological remains, which are preserved in immaculate condition, as if the archaeologists have just left the site.

Guided tours are available every Saturday from 2nd April.
