However as I have recently had to paint a large sky backdrop I can also really appreciate his depiction of the various skies and cloud formations which are very atmospheric and subtle.

Great stuff, and I look forward to seeing the exhibition!

Pink and grey, tan and grey, blues and blue-black. Thousands of hours must have gone in to observing all of this. The oil paint adds to the rich layers.

I particularly enjoyed “Goodwin’s Court” that reminded me of “St. Dunstan’s Court” leading into Dr. Johnson’s House in Gough Square, just off Fleet Street.
