					<description><![CDATA[After reading this, I came across a similar incident in my genealogy research:  In 1876, in Carlyle, Illinois, a baby was found on the train after everyone had disembarked.  Ads were placed in the local newspaper, but no one came forward to claim the baby or to offer any information.  It was cared for by the sheriff&#039;s wife until it was adopted by a local family.  I wonder how common this was.]]></description>
