A lively, cheery history;
The tale of Fairlop Fair was done
‘Cause Day fairly lopped that oak tree.

The time has come
To look at fun
Is it Helter skelter or dodgem?
Sitting in a machine
Is just a fright
On a Saturday night
Can it ever compare
With an age old fair?
Galavanting , larking and fooling
Machines may have won
But Fairlop was fun
