They really do have the most wonderful scent. Before the lockdown situation started last year I had friends over to my apartment for dinner. Amongst other things they gave me a small arrangement of hyacinths in a wooden container with a rope handle. My main room is an open plan living room / kitchen / diner and it was lightly perfumed for weeks – just gorgeous!

GA — is there any way those of us poor, unfortunate folks who live outside the UK can contact Alan and order bulbs? I live in the United States and would LOVE to get some of those bulbs and raise them in containers on my porch.
