Tessa is just brilliant! She has captured the spirit and individuality of each dog together with what must be such lifelike representation, and aren’t the names marvellous too. Every time I read the phrase “is seeking commissions”, I ache with longing. HOW I would love to sit with Ms. Hunkin and discuss a mosaic-ed walkway for our little town hall in the Hudson Valley. Oh, the ideas! I would bore the socks off her, telling her about our nuanced/esoteric history…….how our town was responsible for some of the links of the chain that stretched across the Hudson in the Revolutionary War…..and how every ONE of our hometown boys came home safe following WWI and the celebration that ensued……and so on, and so on. All of THAT would be brilliantly captured in her mosaic masterpiece; as well as our present-day farms and views of the Catskills and Berkshires. All of that!
These mosaic artists have my deep admiration. Thank you for regaling us today, GA.
