At so many different levels Robson Cezar is an extraordinary artist. Recycling bottle tops to make art is in itself a statement about avoiding catastrophic climate change. Most artists would dread limiting expression through the use of a single material yet Cezar uses bottle tops with a facility that suggests a vast palette of materials. When I first saw his work many years ago I thought it was novel and clever but could not last. How wrong I was. He's a bottle top innovator who continues to push boundaries with a vision of the world lacking in many artists. His elegant creations manifest the myriad of conversations that occur over bottles of beer. 'Trump Stinks' captures the times. His globe is precious but are we throwing it away in an orgy of consumption? I love photographs of artists in their studios. They sometimes provide hints on artistic practice. The careful organisation of his bottle tops shows the mindful and physical preparation needed to produce complex work that appears effortless. Bravo to Robson Cezar for being a bold rebellious artist who turns heads wherever his works appears.

Great stuff and great designs!

I used to collect coloured bottle tops when I worked in a bar (along with the very useful large cardboard tubes which the rolls of catering table cloths came on!) but I never did anything with them to compare with the work of the King of the Bottletops.

I will definitely try to get to his open day as I'd be interested to know how he fixes the tops to the boards.

Love the "Trump Stinks" picture. I'm an American who is so ashamed of this THING that we have as President. My deepest apologies to everyone in the UK. Makes me very proud that my family came from London. God bless all of you.
