Liked the paintings and drawings plus interesting to have known Oravida Pissarro. I will have to go to the exhibition. Wish Dorothy Rendell had achieved more recognition in her lifetime. So unfair regarding the sexism but the East End’s gain.

Dorothy’s face reminds me of Virginia Woolf.

I would certainly have loved to meet Dorothy , a delightful character with a wonderful eye , as a East End boy moving there when Canary Wharf become my new office (the famous infrastructure years away so getting there via Thames and foot was a challenge so I moved to Vic Park and loved it ever since, in your face no frills “Take It or Leave It”, Dorothy struggles reflect very much the East End , and her character for sure illuminated many , especially in her teaching roll . Thanks yet again for bringing this unique story and individual to the fore , even though I spend a lot of time abroad travelling I surely will come home for the exhibition , and hope to make the talk as well .
In closing I can only say RIP Dorothy Dear lady your legacy lives on strongly
