GA, kudos on continuing to focus attention on those artists who have depicted the East End over the decades. I particularly enjoyed:

John Allin – Spitalfields Market, 1972 (busy daytime street scene)

Roland Collins – Brushfield St, Spitalfields, 1951-60 (close up of a wheelbarrow in the quiet of night with Christ Church in the distance)

Harry T. Harmer – St Botolph’s Without Aldgate, 1963 (love those little bird-like figures of the children)

James Mackinnon – Twilight at London Fields (the rising moon and buildings through the branches of trees)
